Interview with Brigman Owens conducted by Sharon Sekhon over Zoom on October 6, 2020. This interview was done for "Shouting from the Margins: Black Leadership in Orange County, 1960 - 1979."
Brig Owens is a beloved Fullerton son who was named homecoming king as a senior at Fullerton Union High School. He excelled in everything and his extended family provided a support system and safe place for Brig to develop the discipline and strength to later become a player for the NFL as well as a lawyer. Brig Owens achieved many "firsts" but remains extremely charismatic, humble, and genuine.
